CCXP 2026 — The World's Biggest Comic Con Is in São Paulo

CCXP (Comic Con Experience) is not "Brazil's Comic Con" — by attendance it's the biggest pop culture festival on the planet, regularly pulling 280,000+ people, full Hollywood panels and world-exclusive trailers. The 2026 edition is confirmed for December 3–6, 2026 at São Paulo Expo, with Spoiler Night on December 2 (source: ccxp.com.br).

Tickets (read this before they sell out)

  • Buy only via the official site (ccxp.com.br) — scalped and fake tickets are an industry here
  • Saturday sells out first, then Sunday; Thursday is the calmest day with the same exhibitors
  • Spoiler Night (Dec 2) is a separate, smaller ticket — first look at the show floor
  • Epic Pass / VIP tiers add express lines, which matter: regular lines for big panels start forming at dawn

Getting to São Paulo Expo

The venue sits on the Imigrantes highway, south of the center. Your options:

From How Time
Anywhere on metro Line 1-Blue to Jabaquara station, then the official CCXP shuttle or a 10-min ride 40–60 min total
Paulista region Uber/99 direct (going early beats traffic) 25–50 min
GRU airport Pre-booked transfer straight to your hotel first — Welcome Pickups 60–90 min

Pro move: stay near Line 1 (Paraíso, Vila Mariana, Liberdade) or anywhere with easy Line 1 access — the metro ignores the highway traffic that builds around the Expo every CCXP evening.

Where to stay (two smart options + the classic)

🏨 Budget / social: Paradiso Hostel — the best-reviewed hostel in the city (dorms from R$75, private suites too), 300m from Sumaré metro between Paulista and Vila Madalena. One line change and you're on Line 1 to Jabaquara — and you come home to the city's best nightlife instead of a highway hotel. Book direct →

🏙️ Couples / privacy: the AluguelSP Studio (★4.9 on Airbnb) — 7 min from Paulista Avenue in Consolação: rooftop pool, gourmet kitchen, fast Wi-Fi. Line 2 → Line 1 gets you to Jabaquara without touching traffic. Check CCXP dates →

🛏️ Hotels: cluster around Paulista/Paraíso for the metro math — compare rates on Agoda and lock free cancellation; early December fills with CCXP + Primavera Sound (Dec 5–6, Gorillaz and The Strokes at Interlagos) the same weekend.

CCXP survival tips

  1. Book accommodation by September — 280k attendees + a festival weekend = the south zone sells out
  2. Thursday/Friday for the show floor, Saturday for panels (if you queue), Sunday for cosplay
  3. Bring an empty water bottle and a power bank; eat before the food court peak (12–2 PM)
  4. Artists' Alley takes cards, but small artists love Pix — a local SIM helps (eSIM guide)
  5. December is warm and stormy: poncho > umbrella in the outdoor lines (weather guide)

Make a trip of it
